The Tennessean of Nashville, TN recently licensed the BURT System to manage Packaging & Distribution activities. The Tennessean will deploy the BURT System, along with technologies from other mailroom vendors, during a project planned for the first quarter of 2010.

Burt Technologies of Evergreen, CO will facilitate the manufacture of The Tennessean as well as The Daily News Journal (Murfreesboro, TN), The Leaf-Chronicle (Clarksville, TN) and all associated weekly publications as well as some editions of The Jackson (TN) Sun. All Gannett-owned publications are produced at the Nashville facility. The Tennessean will license a suite of BURT System modules that includes Packaging Manager, Line Manager, Distribution Manager, DX Option, Burt Tracker and the BURT Open Interface. The Tennessean represents the 9th Gannett daily newspaper (6 of the top 10 by circulation) to join the Burt user community.
